Stand Up for Democracy
Author Last Post

I am sharing a message from the main coordinator, Lynn Dooley, of our Stand Up for Democracy project:

"Please post our promo package and invite anyone who wishes to post our links or run our ads. I'm happy to provide the art to anyone who wants it. Please tell them that they can post the QR codes or the links on the Civics Menu. They go directly to our landing pages. If they want to repurpose the landing pages to their league, I can send them in PowerPoint. I don't use Canva. "

If you want to contact her directly her email is- lasdooley@comcast.net. Also attached is her Stand Up for Democracy Promo package. Feel free to use it any creative ways you want.

OMG, Leona, what your League has done is fantastic!

Our League, down on Santa Clara County, is just getting started in setting up a Civics Education section of our site (although I really like your term-'Civics Topics'). May we research (by which I mean copy) what you've done and adapt it for www.lwvcs.org ?

This is excellent! Love the signage on the bus. Unfortunately we don’t have public transportation in our town but we can definitely use this for inspiration for a printed rack card with QR codes to our website.

Love your Civic Topics Menu and links to important information. I’ve shared this with the members of our board and voter services/advocacy members.

Thanks for sharing!

There has been some real excitement around the great work done by the Bellingham/Whatcom county league. The videos are impressive. We in Sonoma County League in CA took a different approoach with the same goal of educating the public about the constitution. We call it Stand Up for Democracy. We have created poster for the back of buses with QR codes that lead the person to our website. https://lwvsonoma.org
